The style of the interior, designed by Conran and Partners, takes inspiration from Anatolian roots, with elements referencing the historic Byzantine and Ottoman empires, whilst also featuring modern details.

Artists Ayline Olukman and Tolga Sezgin were selected to showcase on the walls of the property, their large-scale photographic works featuring scenes from contemporary Turkey.

Olukman is interested in the concepts of imagination and nostalgia. Olukman’s chosen photograph (featured right and below) comes from a series of work that she produced whilst travelling through Istanbul. The photograph features a dreamlike street scene with a flock of birds surrounding an ancient landmark.

Sezgin’s reportage style is often hailed for its raw and unaltered depiction of everyday life. His chosen photograph (seen above) features a scene from rural Turkey where a group of young men walk through fields of farmland.
