South Place Hotel, London

Dais Contemporary commissioned Danish artist Thorbjørn Andersen to produce a dynamic sculptural installation for the new restaurant South Place Chop House at South Place Hotel, London.

Andersen is interested in abstraction, geometry and collage, creating two and three-dimensional works that explore the possibilities within the expanded field of painting. For the commission the artist worked with triangular sheets of glass using gold and silver leaf, metallic emulsion and oak.

The refurbishment of South Place Chop House was designed by Conran and Partners Architects and Designers. The restaurant is operated by D&D London.
